YOGA THERAPY

Yoga therapy uses the ancient science of yoga to increase the health and wellness of the person – physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is for anyone with specific health challenges, injuries, those going through life changes or anyone who is seeking their optimal health.

The healing journey is specific to each person. Yoga Therapy adapts and modifies the therapy for each person with respect to physical or emotional challenges, age, and culture/religion in order to facilitate health and healing of the body and mind.

Asana (yoga)

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a holistic system that has been practiced in India for centuries. It brings insight to how one can live a healthier and more balanced life. Ayurveda sees each person as a unique combination of the 5 elements: ether, air, fire, water, and earth. These elements come together in specific ways to form different body types, personality traits and even tendencies for certain diseases.

Pranayama (breath work)

Pranayama – life force – promotes a variety of breathing techniques where the breath is intentionally altered in order to produce specific results.
